Dundee and the World is the display in the fabulous Albert Hall - a space which over the years has hosted receptions for Kings, Prime Ministers and visiting dignitaries from all over the world.

Dundonians have travelled all around the world, visiting many different cultures and peoples.

In this gallery you can see some of the fascinating and exotic objects brought back to Dundee by these travellers, and learn some of their stories.

The exhibits are grouped around the four central themes of Mystery, Military, Missionary and Merchant.
