DC Thomson & Co Ltd was established in 1905 by a successful shipping businessman William Thomson and his two sons Frederick and David Couper Thomson.
The company now produces more than 200 million newspapers, comic books and magazines every year from offices in Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester and London. The company is still very successful and expanding.
