Part of a grave group. This was the grave of a woman over thirty five years old of a robust build. She was about 163cm tall. The woman may have used this pebble as a charm. Quartz is often found in prehistoric burials, and may have had ritualistic significance. The woman may have also used the pebble to smooth clay in making pottery or in preparing skins in making leather.
