East Coast Redware jug handle, found in Overgate, Dundee

Donated by Mr D.Henderson
Museum number 1965-122-2

The fact that East Coast Redware pottery has been found in Dundee is evidence that the town was involved in trading on Scotland's east coast from 1200 to 1500. Limited amounts have been found elsewhere, for example in Lothian.
