This natural form is inspired by the Northern landscape around Lotte Glob's home, the high temperature of the firing process imitating the effects of natural volcanic forces. So strong is the inspiration that the potter created 'the ultimate rock garden', placing 70 of her ceramic sculptures throughout the Scottish Highlands from 1987 onwards.
