Colin Reid is an acknowledged master of cast glass. He has long been drawn to nature. Here, by combining the cast glass with fused copper, he has created an ethereal and exquisite underwater cavern.
The cleverness of this glass sculpture lies in its amazing optical qualities. It has three completely different facets: a ‘piece of malachite’ on one side; almost clear glass on the other; and a surprise underwater cave on the third.
