This scarab has a blue and green glaze. It was found in Egypt, but exactly where was not recorded.
Scarabs were mostly made for the living as amulets or charms and were believed to have protective powers.
The cartouche contains three hieroglyphs which read "Menkheperra" the throne-name of King Thutmes III.
