Dundee Artworks on Loan to Kelvingrove and Kirkcaldy
Joseph Crawhall's 'Lincolnshire Pasture' is currently on show in the hugely popular 'Pioneering Painters: The Glasgow Boys 1880-1900' exhibition at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, which has attracted more than 46 thousand visitors.
Also on loan to the exhibition is John Lavery's 'The Musical Ride of the 15th Hussars during the Military Tournament at the Glasgow International Exhibition, 1888'. The Dundee paintings will travel with the exhibition to London 's Royal Academy of Arts. 30 Oct 2010 - 30 Jan 2011.
Kirkcaldy Art Gallery and Museum's summer exhibition, 'McTaggart's Children: a centenary celebration' is showing now until the 3 October. Four paintings by William McTaggart from Dundee City 's collection feature in this exhibition including an early work painted in 1861 entitled 'The Old Pathway'.
