The McManus offers a programme of arts and heritage activities which aims to increase access, understanding and enjoyment of the museum collections and to encourage learning and cultural inclusion.
Activities include one off talks and workshops and longer partnership projects developed with community groups and organisations. Regular activities include:
Self Directed Tours
Self led but can be planned with input from museum staff. Mon - Sat, 10 - 5pm and Sun 12.30 - 4.30pm FREE. No need to book, but let us know when you intend to visit. Educators packs for group leaders can be downloaded here .

Guided Tours for Community Groups
Guided tours must be booked in advance and last between 45 minutes - 1 hour. You may request a general tour of the museum which includes all galleries or alternatively have a tour designed around a particular gallery theme or area of interest. Monday - Friday between 10am and 4pm. FREE, but please book a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.

Creative Learning Tours and Workshops for Community Groups
Includes a short tour followed by a themed 'hands on' workshop in the Creative Learning Studio tailored to the interests or needs of the group. Thursday - Friday between 10am and 4pm. Lasts 1 hour 30mins - 2 hours. £25 per group (fewer than 25 visitors) for groups over 25, an additional charge of £1 per visitor applies. Please book a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.
