This negative shows a boat full of supplies coming to a whaling ship. The boat is made of two seperate hulls, rather like a catamaran, with planks laid across the top. The supplies consist of a number of barrels and may even be oil from a whaling station. There are three men in the boat and on of the ship's boats can be seen in the foreground, hanging from its davits.
