cap

Skull cap
Geographical origin unknown, African?
Knitted cotton
Donor unrecorded
Museum number 9999-1431
This object was one of many that did not have an identifying number during the Museum's 1987 inventory project, and was subsequently given a temporary number. Although it looks quite modern, it could have been in the collection for a long time. Preliminary research suggests it may be a kufi cap, traditionally worn by African men.
