This Certificate of Discharge was issued to Mr Charles Simpson in 1895. The Certificate states that Mr Simpson was 24 years of age and was born in Carnoustie. It also says he was employed as a linemanager on a 450 ton whaling ship with the official number '89090' and a 120 horse power engine. This is the number for 'Terra Nova.' Mr Simpson was with this vessel from the 12th February 1895 until the 14th November 1895.
