This Death Certificate was issued on the 14th November 1894. It records the death of Mr Jacob Chaplin, the 55 year old Chief Officer of SS 'Vesper'. The Certificate states that Mr Chaplin was 'found dead having died from injuries to his head accidentally received by falling from Number 1 Wharf at Blyth.' The Certificate was signed by 'Walter Wood Registrar.'
