This is probably a painting by a Mrs Jane Stewart Smith, a topographical artist, based in Edinburgh. Mrs Stewart Smith exhibited at a number of the Dundee Fine Art Exhibitions during the late nineteenth century.

This is a very ambitious watercolour, due to its size and complexity.
