This print shows the settlement at Exeter Sound, Arctic Canada. The foreground is a flat plain, possibly of ice or snow, with some more irregular ground reaching to a a small group of wooden houses or huts. Beyond the buildings is a stretch of water, with a three masted ship on the extreme left. The ship has her sails furled and a mooring line or anchor chain descending from her bowsprit into the water.
