Bhaisajya is also called the Healing Buddha and is said to dispense spiritual medicine. He holds a medicine bowl in his left hand. His right hand is held in the mudra gesture of charity and holds a myrobalan fruit, a medicinal plant which is the basis of many Tibetan remedies.
