Forfarshire Lawn Tennis Association Individual Championship Trophy Cup

Presented for award by J. Martin White. Mr White was the Laird of Balruddery and a member of parliament for Forfarshire. Mr White supported education in Dundee and had many links with the University College, Dundee.
The cup is art nouveau in design. It was made in London in 1902 by R.L.L.B. Rathbone. Small beaten silver bowl and lid in form of poppy pod, with applied brass decoration forming band of six rectangles below lip, each filled with blue enamel, on which is painted, in gold, the cup title.
Mounted on mahogany plinth with silver plates, engraved with winners' names and dates from 1901 -1964.
