Museum number 1966-170 replaces 1966-180. Both fragments are about the same dimensions

This relief is from the funerary temple of Mentuhotep II of the 11th Dynasty. The fragment depicts an Egyptian soldier climbing a siege-ladder. Siege scenes are rare and dramatic evidence of ancient Egyptian warfare.
