This black and white whotograph shows a whaling ship in Dundee docks. The vessel is viewed from the port side and there is a small white boat floating alongside. The vessel is painted black, with all her sails furled and a number of people on deck forward. Behind her can be seen the masts of other vessels, while the factory chimneys of Dundee are in the background.
