This sepia print shows five Inuit girls standing in a line facing the camera. They are wearing Danish type clothing, with the girl second from the left having a very elaborate top on. The girl on the extreme left has what appears to be a bob-cap on, with the others wearing head scarves; all are wearing boots. Beneath the photograph are the words 'danish Esquimaux Girls, Godhaven, Disco.' The photograph was taken at the Danish settlement at Godhavn on Disco Island, off the west coast of Greenland.
