This lantern slide shows a group of five Dundee whaling men on the deck of a whaling ship. Three of the men are standing, with two in the front sitting down. The man on the viewer's extreme left is tall and wearing a light jacket, with his two standing companions smaller and in darker clothing. Both the seated men are bearded and wearing light coloured jackets.
