Lantern slide made of glass with metal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson, 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-97

This lantern slide shows a group of Inuit chhildren clustered outside a trading station hut. The children are all wearing traditional Inuit attire, with leather coats. They are bareheaded and the girl on the viewer's extreme left is smiling broadly to the camera. The hut is on the viewer's right. Only part of the gable end is visible but it is plank built and has a multi-paned window.
