This lantern slide was taken on the deck of the Dundee whaling ship 'Eclipse.' It shows an Inuit mother and child standing side by side. The mother is wearing a white or light coloured top and fur trousers. She is bare-headed and has her hand on the head of the child. The child is wearing an open fur jacket and is also bare headed.
