Inuit mother and child on the deck of a ship
Lantern slide made of glass

Museum number 1972-351-107

This lantern slide was taken on the deck of a Dundee whaling ship. It shows an Inuit mother and child standing together. The child is a couple of steps in front of the mother. Both are standing in front of a large sheet of canvas that might be the sail of a ship.
