Lantern slide of a whaling ship leaving Dundee
Lantern slide made of glass with metal rim

Donated by Mr Albert A. Fuller, 1996
Museum number 1997-27-1

This lantern slide shows a whaling ship leaving Dundee. The ship is just easing away from the deck, with hundreds of people crowding to cheer her off. There are two more ships already in the Tay, so presumably the whaling fleet is departing at the same time. There is also a small boat in the right foreground.
