The Certificate was dated the 16th October 1868. The adjoining Certificate of Discharge stated that Mr Myers had served as a harponer and boatswain in the Dundee registered 'Narwhal' from the 26th February 1868 until the 15th October 1868. It also states that the ship was of 434 tons with the official number of 22686 and had been employed in seal and whale fishing.
