This Certificate of Discharge was issued to Charles Myers in 1871. It states that he had been born in Heligoland and was 50 years old. It also says that he had been employed as a Boatswain on the London registered ship 1001 ton ship 'Lealandia' from the 14th July 1871 to the 26th October 1871, joining the ship at Dundee and leaving at Greenock. 'Lealandia's' official number was 21180 and she had been on a voyage to Quebec, while her master, Alexander Clark, had signed the foot of the Certificate. On the reverse, Mr Myers was given 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
