One of a series of Certificates of Discharge for Charles Myers, 1873

This Certificate of Discharge was issued to Mr Charles Myers in 1873. It stated that he was aged 52 and had been born in Heligoland. It also stated he had been employed as a harpooner on the 278 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Victor' between the 24th February and the 25th April 1873. The ship's master, Captain Edwards, signed the bottom of the Certificate and on the reverse Mr Myers is given 'Very Good' as his character for both ability and conduct.
