One of a series of Certificates of Discharge issued to Mr Charles Myers, 1871.

This Certificate of Discharge was issued to Mr Charles Myers in 1871. It states that Mr Myers was born in Heligoland and was then aged 49. It also states that Mr Myers had sailed as a spectioneer on the Dundee registered ship 'Victor' to the seal fishing. 'Victor' was a 278 ton ship with the official number 19540 and 35 horsepower engines, while the voyage had lasted from the 23rd February 1871 to the 3rd June 1871. Captain Graville had signed the bottom of the Certificate and on the reverse gave Mr Myers 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
