One of eleven Seaman's Allotment Notes for Mr Charles Myers, 1853

This Seaman's Allotment note was issued to Mr Charles Myers on the 24th March 1853. It states that Mr Myers will be serving as a seaman on the vessel 'P. Charlotte'[Princess Charlotte] sailing to the Davis Straits. It also says that part of Mr Myers wages, £1 2/6 [£1 . 12.5 pence] will be paid to Agnes Myers every month. At the back of the note is a list of dates from April to September with the amounts paid and Mrs Myers signature.
