This Seaman's Allotment note was issued to Mr Charles Myers on the 21st March 1860. It states that Mr Myers will be serving as a harpooner on the vessel 'Alexander' sailing to the Davis Straits. It also says that part of Mr Myers wages, £1 15/- [£1 . 75 pence] will be paid to Agnes Myers every month. At the back of the note is a list of dates from April to October with the amounts paid and Mrs Myers signature.
