This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com of Council For Trade' in the top left corner. It states taht 'Henry Navil' was aged 24 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an 'AB' on the 326 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Intrepid', official number 18504 on a voyage to the Greenland Seal Fishing. Mr Navil had been engaged between the 26th February 1876 and the 23rd April 1876. The Master had signed the bottom of the certificate and on the reverse had given Mr Navil a very good character for both ability and conduct.
