This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' in the top left corner. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 34 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as a harpooner on the 326 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Intrepid', official number 18504 on a voyage to Greenland. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 4th March 1885 and the 21st July 1885. The Master, Robert Davidson, has signed the bottom of the certificate and on the top and bottom right corners has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
