This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' in the top left corner. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 35 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged on the 579 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Aurora', official number 75196 on a voyage for 'Sealing and Whaling.' Mr Navill had been engaged between the 4th February 1886 and the 2nd September 1886. The Master, James Fairweather, has signed the bottom of the certificate and on the recerse has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
