This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' in the top left corner. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 35 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an A.B. on the 1397 ton London registered vessel 'Suez', official number 73633 on a voyage to Bahia. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 13th October 1887 and the 1st January 1888. The Master, has signed the bottom of the certificate and on the reverse has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
