This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' on the left. It states that 'Henry Navill' was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an 'A.B.' on the 1157 ton Leith registered vessel 'Petersleing', official number 52871 on a voyage to the Mediterranean. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 13th January 1888 and the 27th February 1888. The Master has signed the bottom of the certificate and on the top and bottom right corners has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
