This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' on the left. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 36 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an 'A.B.' 2374 ton Glasgow registered vessel 'Grecian', official number 82296 on a voyage to Halifax and Philadelphia. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 9th November 1888 and the 17th December 1888. The Master has signed the bottom of the certificate and on the reverse has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
