This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the 'Com. of Council For Trade' in the top left corner. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 37and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an 'harpooner.' on the 255 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Nova Zembla', official number 72541 on a voyage to the Davis Straits. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 19th March 1892 and the 16th November 1892. The Master, Thomas Cunningham has signed the bottom of the certificate and has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
