This document has 'Certificate of Discharge' across the top, with the logo of the Council For Trade in the top left corner. It states that 'Henry Navill' was aged 40 and was born in Dundee. It also states he had been engaged as an 'A.B.' on the 400 ton Dundee registered vessel 'Emerald', official number 78676. Mr Navill had been engaged between the 9th January 1893 and the 23rd January 1893. The Master, H. Rattray has signed the bottom of the certificate and has given Mr Navill a character of 'Very Good' for both ability and conduct.
