A party of Inuit carrying an umiack
Lantern slide made of glass with a metal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-85

This lantern slide shows a number of Inuit carrying an umiack, a type of traditional open boat. The Inuit have turned the umiack upside down and are carrying it on their shoulders. They are walking on an area of level grass, but there is a rocky ridge in the background.
