Photograph of whaler in the ice, 1893
Photographic print

Donated by Perth Museum and Art Gallery, 1968
Museum number 1968-84-10

This photograph shows a whaler under steam in the ice. All her sails are furled but there is smoke coming from her funnel. The view is from port side and slightly forward of her bow, so her port side whaleboats can be clearly seen hanging from their davits.
