Museum number 1968-78-2

This black and white phogtograph shows the Dundee whaling ship 'Esquimaux.' She is just at the edge of the ice, with her reflection visible in calm water in the foreground. She is barque rigged, but her sails are furled, and there is a man in the crow's nest, facing away from the camera toward the low hills in the background.
