Photograph made of paper

Museum number 1968-78-4

This photograph shows the Dundee built whaling and exploration ship 'Terra Nova.' The vessel is riding light on the water, with the plimsoll mark clearly visible on her black painted hull. The photograph was taken toward her port bow and shows her with all her sails neatly furled and nobody visible on deck. In this photograph she is barque rigged and the details of her rigging can clearly be seen.
