Field collection: Shanwell, near Tentsmuir, Fife. Found in a kitchen midden

Native craftsmen stamped their own characteristic style on Roman materials. Although it is made from recycled Roman bottle glass, this armlet is in a distinctive native style found mainly in Northern England and Southern Scotland.
