Portrait of Captain Gibb.

This ferrotype shows the head, shoulders and upper body of Captain Gibb. He is in half profile, and is wearing a black jacket, with a white shirt and a bow-tie. He has no beard, but has long, neatly trimmed sideburn whiskers and a parting on the left side of his head.
