This print shows the barque rigged 'Terra Nova' in full sail, with figures standing forward. There is a small ice floe in the foreground and icebergs in the background. Beneath the painting there is a small history of the ship, together with a lost of Dundee whaling ships and whaling masters. Underneath that is a sepia Valentine postcard of Dundee docks, with a lighter in the foreground, the masts of a ship in the centre right and the Royal Arch in the background.
