A watercolour showing S.S. Balaena under full sail. There are two boats in the foreground hunting a whale. S.S. Balaena was one of Dundee's best known whaling ships. Built in Norway in 1872, she joined the Dundee fleet in 1891 and remained with Dundee owners until 1917.
