School notebooks

Bequeathed by Miss E. Smith
Museum Number: 1977-384- (1-31)

Notebooks used by pulils, Annie and Emma Smith at Morgan Academy in the early 1900s. These notebooks give a good idea of the subjects undertaken by the sisters, including physics, history, chemistry and French.

Secondary education developed during the 1900s, and the growth of the Dundee’s housing estates led to many new schools.
