Negative made of glass

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson, 1975
Museum number 1975-2-5-5

This glass negative shows a three masted whaling barque in the River Tay. She is riding very light and has all her sails furled and a flag showing at her mizzen. Dundee is in the background, with the factory chimneys clearly seen.
