Contract for the 'Southern Harvester' Expedition 1952-53. Framed in light wood and glazed, the grey/blue document is headed 'Fl. F. "Southern Harvester" Expedition' with the words 'Contract Season 1952-53.' immediately beneath. Underneath, in smaller print, is a contract between the whaling company Christian Salvesen and a seaman. Once completed, the contract would stipulates the position of the seaman, his rates of pay and insurance. There is a Norwegian stamp at the bottom, and the signature 'L. Anderson.'
